Palooza Design offer 3 services across interior design and decoration, all built to meet your needs whatever your scope and brief.

Our services were built with flexibility in mind. You can complete one and one only or start with one service and scale up to complete a larger vision.

Our design consultation is a taste tester of sorts - a pre-briefing and 2 hr walk through with a one-off financial investment which provides you with concrete ideas you can implement yourself.

This package is for people who are after some initial, actionable ideas on optimum floor layout, colour palettes, furniture and lighting ideas and where to find them or a reconfiguration of your current furniture.

Our decoration services starts with these activities and goes a little broader and deeper. Here you can access customised solutions and trade services and skills to create a bigger impact. For example re-upholstering furniture in a specialised fabric or working together on a custom joinery solution.

Interior design pertains changers to built environments and involves Palooza to create construction drawings, trades and sub-contractors.

Interior Design is the built components of your home; bathrooms, kitchens and joinery and all the hard finishes that pertain to those spaces i.e., carpet, tiles, bench tops, taps, sinks and ovens etc.

Decoration / curation are ‘loose’ items; furniture, lamps, rugs, upholstery, art and objects.

Window treatments (curtains), wall finishes (paint/wallpaper), custom joinery, colour schemes and ceiling lighting can encompass either depending on your scope.

This will depend on your project scope. Our three services are devised as a laddered approach to reflect increasing levels of investment. Each service be scaled up at any time.

Our three services start with a thorough briefing which can then result in a one-off walk through with an actionable list of ideas for you to implement, or the jumping off point to a more personalised and customised decoration or design service that we action for you.

The first package – the Design Consultation - is a one-off investment of $600 + gst whilst the decoration of an entire room can cost anywhere from $15-30K+ depending on scope, materiality and level of customisation.

Scopes do fluctuate, however it is a good idea to have an idea of your budget for your initial plans, before we meet.

We can also talk through return/outcomes to expect of a low, medium and high budget investment when we chat and will always be able to find a way to get the most bang for your buck.

After our initial scope/briefing meetings each service will journey through a series of phases generally consisting of an initial consultation, concept presentation (with time for feedback), design, material selection, procurement, and installation.

This depends on your project scope and which service you proceed with. However you can estimate roughly anywhere from a few for our Design Consultation service, to a few months to a year or more if we are to move walls or renovate spaces that require external trades.

The more specialised the finish or involvement of external trades add on time. We can always look at some quick gains for example a lick of paint, a new lighting plan or removal of old furniture you’ve outgrown for a mini spruce whilst we work on implementing the remainder of the design. 

Because we’re trained to! We design your home to reflect you, not our portfolio. We undertake a rigorous on-boarding process to understand your requirements and the look and feel you want to achieve. Preparation and planning are key to a successful outcome. At your request we can supply options to layouts and pieces, and nothing is actioned or progresses without your consent.

Yes! Absolutely! We are here to help with a one room lounge or bedroom spruce up, an end-to-end full-scale renovation, colour and fabric finishes for existing furniture or a kitchen remodel. The options are vast and wide.

We often re-integrate existing furniture, depending on how it sits visually and functionally with the new design direction. Understand retaining all of your existing furniture can be to the detriment of a holistic vision. Other times, a special item can form the basis of a new design concept!
